Strategies and indicator are only good if you have a set of trading rules that you use so that you can replicate the good results over and over again. There’s no point in making profitable trades but yet you do not know how to replicate it again. So please read through and use the below Buy/Sell Signal Rules as guidance. Eventually you should create your own rules to fit your own trading personality.

Real MACD MT4 Indicator Buy Signal

Here is what you should be looking for in order to open a long position:

Now, you should wait for the Real MACD MT4 Indicator to cross its 0.00 level from the bottom up.

You can open a long position only considering these signals. However, if you want to more accuracy and precision, it won’t be a mistake to insert a fast EMA and a slow EMA or SMA, in order to assess the price action. You can choose whatever parameters you like. It is important to watch the slow MA behavior (the period – no greater than 60) – if it has a visible direction, like up or down, then your expectancies about a successful trading can increase. Also, you can consider the fast EMA and the slow MA crossing.

If the chart meets the first 2 conditions mentioned above, you can open a long position. For placing the stop loss order, you will be guided by the Arrows and Curves indicator bands. Set the SL 1 pip below the green lower band. With this strategy, you can take the profit manually. Generally, you can close the position when you got 30 pips or near previous resistance level.

Real MACD MT4 Indicator – Sell Signal Rule

Naturally, the sell signal is mirrored:

Arrows and Curves indicator shows a red arrow, which is about a down trend. You will note this arrow above the price action.
Now, you should just wait for the Real MACD MT4 Indicator indicator to cross the 0.00 level from top to bottom.
Once you have these conditions, open a short position. You should place the stop-loss 1 pip above the green upper band of the Arrows and Curves indicator. You should take the profit manually. The target level for M5 is generally 30 pips. If you want to trade with larger timeframes, consider these targets: 1H – 75 pips, 4H – 130 pips.

This strategy is simple to use and is quite profitable. It’s easy to learn and more importantly, always practise it on a demo account before using any new strategy (this one included) on real money.

Time Frames

Technically speaking, you can use this indicator for all time frames. However, the shorter the time frame, you will see more fluctuation and possibly more whipsaw which may cause small losses that can eat up your portfolio quickly. We recommend that you use higher time frames like the 4H for better consistency.
