When it comes to forex trading, one of the most important things to be aware of are trend patterns.

These can give you vital clues as to which way the market is moving, and therefore what your next move should be.

There are different types of trend pattern, each with their own individual characteristics. One of the most popular is the double top or bottom pattern. This happens when the price action reaches a certain level twice, and then reverses direction. This can be a strong indication that the market is about to turn.

Another popular pattern is the head and shoulders pattern.

This happens when the price action forms a 'head' and two 'shoulders', with the head being higher than the shoulders. This is generally seen as a bearish signal, as it indicates that the market may be about to start falling.

Of course, these are just two examples of many different kinds of trend patterns that you may come across when trading forex.

It's important to familiarise yourself with as many as possible, so that you can quickly and easily identify them when they occur.
